let's get this flooring party started

movin' right along...

well, Wendy got a full time job at Harley Davidson, so I've been working on the house in my time at home. got the flooring done and the trim in. woot.

got a rolling platform built for our bed...

for now we are using the end of the bed as a make shift couch. I'll be building the storage couch soon

stairs are about done as well. just needs a little trim around the edges and a light stain. i hadn't planned on using the brick paneling for this, but hey, hooray for scrap

yays! starting to feel a little like home. we are now sleeping and hanging out in the little house on a regular basis!

even had our very first wee house party. hoorah for awesome friends and cards against humanity!

in the meantime, handy grandpa #2 is helping us with the structure of our kitchen cabinets... or next major project, and the first bit of the kitchen!

we've finally had a chance to get and install the brick paneling we've been waiting for. we started with the dividing wall between the kitchen and the bathroom. it was the easiest...and we like starting with easy :)

this project is complete for now. time to move on to the flooring for this area.

framing in the windows now that the walls are painted in this area. hooray for grandfathers with air nailers

finished the framing as a wild Magnus approaches...

step 1: panel the walls (cause painting osb looks, ya know, terrible)

ok, time for some seriously strong smelling, oil-based primer

since the seams were going to show, we arranged them in a pattern that wouldn't drive me bat shit insane. we'll paint the smaller patches a slightly darker shade than our main color.

finished up the darker patches while wendy installed the electrical outlets

including this rad one by our bed that has usb charging ports. no more wall adapters, woot woot!
