got back to the vinyl today. between lunch plans and trouble around the wheel wells (resolved by gramps - handy grandpa #1) we weren't able to get a ton done before sunset, but hey it's progress, and we'll take it.
so, after going through lots of ideas and talking to numerous home improvement type dudes, we've decided to put a simple tin roof on the wee house (name in progress). the custom cut metal roof panels should be in next week (supplyhog.com - seriously rad company. I'm so excited to not have to cut these and make extra seams in the middle of the roof).
in preparation we decided to cover all of the exposed wood on the sides of the roof panels with metal flashing (cause leaks are bad yo). so here's that little project...
tomorrow it's back to the siding project (weird ass Louisiana weather permitting of course).
well, after a little wait, our siding has arrived! late? a little, but half the price of every other option locally? yup.
supplyhog.com for the win. and manufactured in Canada, eh! woot woot.
